Mold Remediation

Microscopic mold spores exist almost everywhere, outdoors and indoors, making it impossible to remove all mold from a home or business. Some restoration businesses advertise “mold removal” and even guarantee to remove all mold, which is a fallacy. Consider the following mold facts:

  • Mold is present almost everywhere, indoors and outdoors.
  • Mold spores are microscopic and float along in the air and may enter your home through windows, doors, or AC/heating systems or even hitch a ride indoors on your clothing or a pet.
  • Mold spores thrive on moisture. Mold spores can quickly grow into colonies when exposed to water. These colonies may produce allergens and irritants.
  • Before mold remediation can begin, any sources of water or moisture must be addressed. Otherwise, the mold may return.
  • Mold often produces a strong, musty odor and can lead you to possible mold problem areas.
  • Even higher-than-normal indoor humidity can support mold growth. Keep indoor humidity below 45 percent.

APARTMENT WATER DAMAGE

This apartment suffered from a supply line break. 
Humidity is fine as long as it is not out of hand. After a supply line broke in this home there was a lot of water in the hardwood and drywall.

Just as fast as it starts soaking up the walls there will be evaporation. The humidity levels will begin to rise in the home which can lead to more damage. High humidity can cause mold, paint bubbles, and wall hangings to wrinkle. We use state-of-the-art dehumidifiers on each water loss to lower humidity levels during cleaning.

COMMERCIAL WATER DAMAGE

Our technicians are trained in the water restoration and clean up. We use professional drying equipment to remove water. 

One of our greatest tools is the infrared camera. It takes training to understand what your looking for on a water loss. Using the best technology, infrared cameras can give us a clear picture of what materials are wet.

We also use air movers and dehumidifiers to dry quickly and effectively.  Moisture can become a factor when trying to remove water.

This commercial space suffered from a water loss. We were able to restore this property quickly back to pre water conditions. 

COMMERCIAL WATER LOSS

The first step to stop the water source.  Cut off all water supply and keep the source from cause more damage.  The content of the room could potentially have significant water damage so getting all the dry material packed up to prevent damages is mostly important.  The content that has water damage could potentially be salvaged by our team.  Let the professionals take away the stress of losing important documents and let us dry them properly.

WATER DAMAGE CLEANUP

Hardwood and tile can often be saved if they are dried quickly after being wet. Water usually seeps in quickly under a wood floor because of the grooves. If the moisture is trapped in the grooves you will start to see cupping or buckling.

ICE MAKER FLOOD

The ice maker to the fridge had broken from years of use which ruined this wood floor. The water had been spot cleaned but the homeowners didn't know that so much water had gone underneath the wood and would not evaporate quickly.

The wood floor ended swelling up causing buckling. The floor was ruined and needed to be removed from the kitchen. The second picture shows our mat system and air movers removing the rest of the water from the subfloor of the home.
